The 2022 edition of European Maritime Day will take place in Ravenna, Italy, on 19-20 May as a hybrid event for 750 physical and many more virtual participants. All the sessions will be organised in a physical format, with speakers and moderators in the venue. In parallel, all the sessions (plenaries, workshops, pitch stage sessions) will be available for remote participants via webstreaming or ZOOM.

Check the provisional programme with the time slots for the opening and the closing plenaries, the thematic sessions, the workshops, the pitch stage and the networking opportunities. Due to the reduced capacity for physical participants, required by the preventive measures related to the covid-19 pandemic, this year it will not be possible to organise an exhibition at EMD 2022. The next opportunity for exhibitors will be at EMD 2023 in Brest.

Save the date and take part to the EMD conference from anywhere in Europe! There will be plenty of opportunities to connect with your peers, exchange views, showcase your achievements and get up to speed with the latest policy developments in the maritime world.

The detailed programme with the titles and the speakers of EMD 2022 will be announced after 20 March 2022. Stay tuned!

European Maritime Day 2022 is co-organised with the city of Ravenna, Regione Emilia Romagna and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility.

With thousands-years old maritime identity, and very much projected in the future of blue economy, Ravenna is the perfect host for this year’s European Maritime Day.
