The European Maritime Day (EMD) 2023 is taking place again again as a fully-fledged physical event, in Brest, France on 24-25 May 2023.

Ravenna is a seaside town: the wind that brings the salty tang of the Adriatic in your nostrils tells you so. Yet, as the seafront receded over the course of the centuries, the maritime nature of the town might not be completely obvious at a first glance.

After 3 years of virtual and hybrid format due to the COVID pandemic, this year it will be a physical event. At the same time, like in the past years EMD will be webstreamed

This year EMD In My County organisers registered 630 events in 28 countries (20 EU and 8 non-EU counties), between April and October, covering all the sea basins of the EU.

The main theme of this year’s European Maritime Day is ‘Sustainable blue economy for green recovery’. The conference will take place physically with the speakers and the moderators in Ravenna on 19 and 20 May 2022, but it will also be webstreamed live.
